Yawata City's Sewaritei was chosen as the top 3rd location to see cherry blossoms in the country and 1st in Kyoto prefecture.
The best time to see cherry blossoms is in the beginning of April which is easily done with a 10 minute walk from Yawatashi Station.
The vicinity is also surrounded by nature's lush green mountains and calm rivers.
Sewaritei is roughly 1.4 kilometers (0.87 miles) long, containing over 220 Yoshino cherry blossoms which create a tunnel that cocoons visitors when in full bloom.
During the cherry blossom festival, stalls that serve food and offer festivities line the paths in great numbers, uplifting and energizing the surrounding atmosphere.
After passing through the tunnel of cherry blossoms, you arrive at an expansive field where you can have picnics.
Since Sewaritei also has a BBQ area, you can revel with family and friends under the blooming cherry blossoms.
